Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The National Program for the cessation of the use of ozone-depleting substances was approved by the Government resolution.

The national program defines goals and strategic directions to eliminate the use of ozone-depleting substances (ODS).

According to the Program, the Cabinet of Ministers envisages the implementation of a unified state policy in the field of regulation of ODS consumption.

Within the framework of the National Program, in particular, the following are envisaged:

- termination of the import and export of ODS and products contained in them to Uzbekistan and the establishment of strict control in this area;

- formation of a database on the import and export of ODS and products in which they are present;

- creation of 6 new centers for the processing of ODS.
