New healthcare minister appointed

Deputy Prime-Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Head of Complex on the issues of Health, ecology, the protection of the environment, physical culture and sports Adkham Ikramov was appointed as the Minister of healthcare.

At the same time, he kept his position as the vice-premier. It is worth to mention that Adkham Ikramov earlier worked as the Minister of Healthcare of Uzbekistan.

He replaced Anvar Alimov at the post of the minister. Anvar Alimov was appointed as the director of the Republican specialized scientific-practical medical center of endocrinology.

Elmira Basitkhanova was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Healthcare of Uzbekistan.

Laziz Toychiev, who was Deputy Minister of Healthcare, was appointed as the rector of Tashkent medical academy.
