New governor of Surkhandarya region appointed
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev appointed new governor of Surkhandarya region on 16 December 2016.
An extraordinary session of Surkhandarya regional Council of People’s Council was held on 16 December 2016. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended the session.
During the session, the organizational issue was considered. New governor of the region was appointed.
New governor of Surkhandarya region became Erkin Turdimov. Prior to appointment, he headed Navoi region.
Now former governor of Surkhandarya region Tojimurod Mamaraimov was appointed as Qiziriq district of the region.
