Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting on measures to ensure an uninterrupted supply of pharmaceutical products to the population and to develop new types of medicines. 

According to information from the official channel of the presidential press secretary, new facilitated conditions have been introduced for enterprises processing medicinal plants, namely:

- Exemption from customs duty for the import of equipment and spare parts, and raw materials until 1 January 2025;

- Reimbursement of up to 50% of transportation costs when exporting finished products;

- Allocation of subsidies in the amount of 600,000 soums for water supply for every 10 hectares of plantations;

- Placement of other types of agricultural crops on plantations of medicinal plants will be unacceptable.

Also in 2022, measures will be taken to increase saffron plantations by at least five times.
