Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 27 October, a meeting of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Culture, Information, Tourism and Sports was held at the Samarkand Congress Center. The event was held within the framework of the IPA CIS session, which is being held in Uzbekistan for the first time.

The meeting was held by the Chairman of the Standing Commission - Chairman of the Committee of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Science, Education, Culture and Sports Erkin Zakhidov.

Representatives of the parliaments of the Commonwealth countries were presented with a draft of a new version of the Model Intellectual Property Code for the CIS countries.

The legislators also discussed the directions in which legislation will be developed in the field of digital development in the field of culture, tourism and sports.

The agenda also included the development of model laws “On Television and Radio Broadcasting”, “On Electronic Communications in the Environment of Digital Media Resources” and other documents that, after completion of work on them, can be sent to the parliaments of the Commonwealth countries for use in the preparation of relevant national laws.
