New Deputy Ministers Appointed at Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Water Management

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 15 October, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree appointing new deputy ministers of water management, according to the ministry’s press service.

Zokir Ishpulatov has been appointed First Deputy Minister and Director of the Agency for the Operation of Water Management Facilities. He previously served as Deputy Minister.

Born on 24 June 1983 in the Termez district of Surkhandarya region, Ishpulatov graduated from the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Melioration, earning his bachelor’s degree in 2005 and master’s degree in 2009. A Doctor of Technical Sciences, he has held various leadership positions within the Ministry of Water Management system.

Mirolimjon Karimjon ogli Karimov has been appointed Deputy Minister of Water Management. Before his new role, he worked as Chief Inspector and Head of a Sector at the Accounts Chamber, and earlier led the Uzbekneftegaz Department for Oil Product Logistics.

Karimov was born on 3 January 1977 in the Beshariq district of the Ferghana region. He earned his bachelor’s degree in 2000 and master’s degree in 2002 from the Tashkent State University of Economics. His career began in 1993 at the Navbahor wholesale trading base, followed by positions at the Tax Committee, Ministry of Finance, Accounts Chamber, and the Presidential Administration.
