New cement plant to be constructed in Uzbekistan

Uzstroymateriali (Uzbek Construction Materials) and Evergreen Holdings signed an agreement on implementation of the project to create a cement plant in Uzbekistan.

The cost of the project is US$300 million. The project will be implemented due to direct investments of the South Korean company. The plant will be built in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. At the first stage, an investment of US$60 million will be used.

The document was signed within the framework of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Republic of Korea.
