Net profit of Aloqabank decreases by 63% in the first quarter

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The net profit of Aloqabank JSC for the first quarter of this year made up 15.0 billion soums, which is 62.6% less than in the same quarter of last year.

According to the bank’s report, interest income increased by 11.0%, reaching 477.6 billion soums, while expenses on them increased by 29.1%, to 392.7 billion soums.

The bank’s assets at the end of the first quarter of 2024 amounted to 17.7 trillion soums, which is 4.5% more than in the same period of 2023. The bank’s capital increased by 39.1% to 2.6 trillion soums.

According to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, the bank’s loan portfolio as of 1 April 2024 reached 10.1 trillion soums (annual growth +3.1%). The share of non-performing loans (NPL) increased from 1.8% to 4.0%.
