Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 4 March, negotiations with representatives of Minsk Automobile Plant OJSC (Belarus) were held at the Ministry of Transport.

Acting Deputy Minister of Transport Davron Dekhkanov met with Deputy General Director of MAZ S. Shulyak, in order to discuss the supply of various models of buses to the Uzbek market.

Sergey Shulyak, Deputy General Director of MAZ, expressed his readiness to closely cooperate with Uzbekistan in the development of passenger transportation. At the same time, the company expressed its willingness to work on a full cycle of preferential financing and services (financing, delivery of goods and services).

“The company is interested in the supply of buses, electric buses and buses for airports of various sizes and modifications to the market of Uzbekistan and the further development of cooperation in this direction,” said Sergey Shulyak.

Acting Deputy Minister of Transport Davron Dekhkanov noted the importance of modernizing the existing bus fleet to improve the quality of passenger service. Unlike other sectors, today the share of the private sector in the field of automobile transport is 80%. In the regions there is a high demand for medium-capacity buses.

Taking these aspects into account, the parties agreed to work together to familiarize enterprises engaged in passenger transportation with MAZ products.
