Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan with the head of the Center for International Cooperation (MASHAV) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel, Ambassador Einat Schlein, the Dunyo agency under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reports.
MASHAV has been operating in Uzbekistan since 1994. Over the past period, thousands of specialists from various sectors of the economy of Uzbekistan have successfully participated in many trainings, advanced training courses and MASHAV seminars in Israel and Uzbekistan. Israeli experts provided the necessary advice and technical assistance in the implementation of a number of socio-economic projects and programs in the country.
During the meeting, the parties highly appreciated the level of cooperation between Uzbekistan and MASHAV. Issues of implementing programs for the development of agriculture and water management, medicine and healthcare, innovative solutions, business development, and further acceleration of cooperation in the field of ecology and environmental protection were discussed.
The parties exchanged views on increasing the number and size of joint programs in the near future, and also agreed to implement new projects in relevant areas.
