Nearly 16 Million Square Meters of Housing Commissioned in Uzbekistan in 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In 2025, Uzbekistan commissioned 15.9 million square meters of housing, according to preliminary data from the National Statistics Committee. Compared to 2024, the volume of newly commissioned housing increased by 2.8 percent, reflecting continued positive momentum in the construction sector.
The largest volumes of residential construction were recorded in Tashkent Region, where 2.0 million square meters of housing were brought into operation. Significant outputs were also noted in Khorezm Region — 1.77 million square meters, Ferghana Region — 1.63 million square meters, and Namangan Region — 1.53 million square meters. Bukhara Region commissioned 1.52 million square meters, Surkhandarya Region — 1.36 million square meters, and Andijan Region — 1.34 million square meters.
In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the volume of newly commissioned housing amounted to 0.84 million square meters, in Navoi Region — 0.72 million square meters, and in Kashkadarya Region — 1.06 million square meters. Jizzakh Region saw 0.54 million square meters brought into operation, while Samarkand Region recorded 0.44 million square meters. The lowest figures were observed in Syrdarya Region, with 0.14 million square meters.
In the city of Tashkent, a total of 1.0 million square meters of housing were commissioned in 2025.
