Atmar met his Uzbek counterpart, minister of defence, foreign affairs and national security officials of Uzbekistan during his visit to Uzbekistan.
During the talks, the sides discussed a range of issues, including combating terrorism, improving security, political relations and economic cooperation.
Both sides stressed the need for regional cooperation in boosting security, coordination on border affairs, common threats and an exchange of prisoners. Atmar said improved security was in the interest of all Central Asian countries.
Atmar also conferred on exchanging of intelligence information, cooperation in enhanced intelligence capacity and strong links in the military field.
