Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17 June, a regular meeting of the Council of National Coordinators of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SNC SCO) completed its work in the capital of Uzbekistan, Dunyo news agency reported.
At the center of the agenda of the meeting, which took place on 14-17 June, was the preparations for the upcoming meetings of the Council of Heads of States, the Council of Heads of Governments (Prime Ministers) and the Council of Foreign Ministers of the SCO Member States, as well as for the Meetings of Heads of Industry Ministries and Departments.
The coordination of draft documents, which are supposed to be submitted in September at the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO in Samarkand, continued.
The prospects for expanding cooperation with other international and regional associations were discussed, as well as the applications of a number of states for obtaining the status of an observer state or a dialogue partner of the SCO.
Issues of the current activities of the SCO were also considered.
On 17 June, the national coordinators took part in the international conference on the theme "SCO: from Central Asia to Eurasia", dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the signing of the SCO Charter, organized by the International Institute of Central Asia.
