Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The National Chamber of Innovative Healthcare of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Cardiology are starting a joint project in the field of practical telemedicine.

The corresponding Memorandum of Cooperation was signed on 23 February 2021 by the heads of the National Chamber Rovshan Izamov and the Center for Cardiology Khurshid Fazilov.

Based on the Memorandum, a pilot project is launched to provide medical services using telemetry equipment in a number of regions of the country. The project starts from the Tashkent region, the cities of Karshi, Jizzak, as well as from Chilanzar district of the capital.

For this purpose, the National Chamber donated a set of cardiological telemetry equipment for free use to the Cardiology Center for 3 months, which includes the UNET complex and 15 Ucard-100 electrocardiographs.

The project is being implemented with the support of the Joint-Stock Commercial People’s Bank.

With the help of Ucard-100 electrocardiographs from various regions of Uzbekistan, electrocardiograms (ECG) of patients will be transferred to the innovative telemedicine center of the Republican Center of Cardiology, equipped with a UNET telemetry complex. Here, highly qualified doctors will evaluate the received ECGs.

This telemetry equipment will make it possible to organize screening, preventive examination and diagnostics of cardiovascular diseases in the regions at the level of modern standards.

The population of the country’s regions will have the opportunity, without leaving for Tashkent, to receive medical care from the best specialists in the capital, while the quality of medical services at the level of primary health care will significantly increase.

A high level of quality of diagnosis, professional communication at the same time will help improve the qualifications of doctors in the regions of Uzbekistan Thus, the continuity of the knowledge and methods of work developed by the specialists of the Republican Cardiology Center will be ensured.

Telemetry equipment also allows you to optimize the costs of attracting highly qualified specialists and at the same time to reach a significant number of the population living in different parts of the country with their services.

At the same time, the National Chamber will provide all the necessary consulting, information, technical support for the professional and effective use of this equipment.

The joint pilot project will be able to show in practice how it is possible to organize a high level of medical care for any resident of Uzbekistan, regardless of where he is - in the capital or region of the country. Telemedicine makes it possible not only to timely diagnose and start immediate treatment of any patient, but also saves time and effort of doctors who can help the patient here and now - without leaving the region, being at their workplace, where there is much more opportunity to collect the necessary consultation. involve other highly qualified specialists in the discussion of the patient’s condition. This is especially important in cardiology, because sometimes we are talking about a threat not only to health, but also to the patient’s life.

Today, a lot is said about telemedicine, its advantages and innovativeness are recognized, however, in order to actually provide advanced medical services anywhere in the country, telemedicine must be practically used.

This is the task of the pilot project, designed to demonstrate in practice the possibilities and benefits of telemedicine. Only a real practice of its use will allow doctors to hone their skills in applying this modern technique, will give an opportunity not only to them, but also to patients to feel that healthcare can and should be at a high level in any region of the country, regardless of its distance from the center.
