Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution "On additional measures for the development of private farms in Tashkent region."
Under the foundation of the Fund for Support of Farmers, Dekhkan Farms and Owners of Home Plots, the National Center for the Development of Home Gardens was established.
The main tasks and activities of the Center are defined as follows:
- rendering assistance to the population in obtaining at least 3 harvests per year due to the effective organization of scientific and innovative activities;
- organization of refresher courses and retraining of personnel for the maintenance of a backyard economy;
- the development of seed production, growing seedlings, the introduction of drip irrigation, the use of alternative energy, the creation of pools for growing fish using modern achievements of science and technology, and others.
A part of the building of the Vocational School No. 1 of the Yangiyul District has been allocated to accommodate the Center for free use.
To organize a cluster of household plots, it is envisaged to allocate a non-agricultural land plot on the territory of a vocational technical school with an area of 1.24 hectares.
Within the framework of the existing programs of the vocational school with the preservation of budgetary funding, refresher courses will be organized. The educational process of the school and the practice of students are carried out in cooperation with the Center.
