National Agency for Prospective Projects Temporarily Suspends SEMURG INSURANCE License for 10 Days

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The National Agency for Prospective Projects of the Republic of Uzbekistan has announced the temporary suspension of the license of JSC SEMURG INSURANCE. The decision came into effect on 19 January 2026 and will remain in force for 10 days. The company’s license was originally issued on 7 October 2025 under number 1081744.

During the suspension period, JSC SEMURG INSURANCE is prohibited from entering into new insurance and reinsurance contracts or extending existing agreements. At the same time, the company is required to fully fulfill its obligations under previously concluded contracts.

The Agency’s statement emphasizes that consumers of insurance services are advised to refrain from entering into new agreements with SEMURG INSURANCE until the deficiencies that led to the temporary suspension are rectified.

The decision to suspend the license is based on the provisions of Article 47 of the Law “On Insurance Activities,” Article 32 of the Law “On Licensing, Permitting, and Notification Procedures,” as well as Clause 41 of the Unified Regulation on Licensing Certain Types of Activities through a Special Electronic System, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers’ Resolution No. 80 dated 21 February 2022.
