Namangan’s GPR grows by 11.3% in 1H

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The volume of gross regional product of Namangan region grew by 11.3% in January-June, the session of the Deputies of local council said.

The region’s industrial production rose by 12.3%, agriculture output – 6.6%, construction works – 9.7%, retail trade turnover – 19.7% and paid services – 17.1% in the reporting period.

Within the programme of social-economic development of the region for 2013-2015, some 2,031 projects were implemented and investments for US$53 million were used, UzA reported.

In line with the employment programme, the region created about 38,700 new jobs in January-June 2013.
