Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the 61st International Flower Festival, which was held in the city of Namangan (Uzbekistan), Bishkek was presented with 500,000 flowers, the city administration reported. 

According to them, the gift was made during the visit of Bishkek Mayor Emilbek Abdykadyrov.

“Flowers will be planted by 100 gardeners who will also arrive in the capital,” the report says.

It was noted that within the framework of the visit between the city of Bishkek and the city of Namangan, an agreement was signed on cooperation in the field of landscaping and gardening.

Within the framework of the document, the parties will do their best to promote the mutual exchange of city and business delegations, promote the regular exchange of information and experience in the field of landscaping and gardening.

The Flower Festival has been held in Namangan since 1961 and reflects the richness of the flower culture of Uzbekistan.

More than 60 thousand kinds of flowers appeared before the guests' eyes. In total, 16 million flowers of 300 species were planted in preparation for the festival. The guests also witnessed a parade of cars decorated with various types of flowers.
