Namangan Region and Dagestan Agree to Hold Joint Business Forum and Establish Logistics Center

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Hokim of Namangan Region, Shavkatjon Abdurazzokov, held a meeting with the Minister of Economy and Territorial Development of the Republic of Dagestan, Gadzhi Sultanov, as part of the Second Council of Regions of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Gadzhi Sultanov currently serves as State Counselor of the Republic of Dagestan and holds the title of Honored Economist of the Republic of Dagestan. The ministry he leads is responsible for economic development, investment attraction, territorial planning, project monitoring, and the development of legislative and regulatory frameworks.

Minister Sultanov noted the active participation of the Namangan delegation in the International Forum on the Sustainable Development of Mountain Territories, held in Dagestan on October 1–3 this year, and conveyed special gratitude from the Head of the Government of Dagestan, Sergey Melikov, to the Governor of Namangan Region.

During the meeting, the parties agreed to hold a joint business forum involving leading entrepreneurs from both regions and to establish a Trade House and a Logistics Center to promote bilateral cooperation and strengthen economic ties.
