Mudslides damage buildings in Uzbek region

The bad weather damaged homes and transport infrastructure. The ministry said that some people also suffered from mudslides and flooding.

The Uzbek ministry said that mudslides occurred in some districts of Namangan, , Surkhandarya, Navoi and Tashkent regions and Tashkent city. The flooding was also observed, it added.

Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan and corresponding bodies carried out necessary rescue and recovery measures to eliminate the consequences of natural disaster. Local state bodies provided social and financial assistance to people.
