MPs discuss protection of environment

The hearing was initiated by the MPs Group of Ecologic Movement of Uzbekistan at the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.

The State Committee of Uzbekistan on protection of environment carried out work on execution of the requirements of the legislation in the sphere and action programme for protection of environment for 2013-2015, the press service of the Legislative Chamber said.

The by-laws were developed and approved to realize the law “On ecologic control”. This creates necessary conditions for improving law enforcement in the sphere and full implementation of the measures, envisages in the programme.

At the hearing, the MPs focused their attention to training of the specialists in the system, development of legislative documents, ecologic education, promotion of ecologic knowledge, attraction of public to protection of environment.

Legislative Chamber adopted a resolution, which includes corresponding recommendations.
