Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan approved candidates for the posts of Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications, and Minister of Public Education.

The deputies approved the candidacy of Sherzod Shermatov for the post of Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications. Prior to that, he worked as the Minister of Public Education.

Bakhtiyor Saidov was approved for the post of Minister of Public Education. Prior to that, he worked as the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to China.

Shukhrat Sadikov was dismissed from the post of Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications after the incident with the blocking of social networks in Uzbekistan.
