Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Owners of mopeds, scooters, and electric scooters are required to undergo state registration and obtain license plates by 1 March 2025. This was stated by the Road Traffic Safety Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan.

It is important to note that in July 2024, Uzbekistan introduced mandatory state registration for mopeds and scooters in accordance with a government decree.

The issuance of license plates began on 26 December at the registration and examination departments.

The Road Traffic Safety Service clarified that all mopeds, scooters, and electric scooters must be registered by the specified deadline. Drivers of these vehicles are required to have a category A driver’s license.

The department emphasized that after 1 March 2025, traffic inspectors will begin taking actions in accordance with the law, including the temporary placement of vehicles in impound lots.
