Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 15 February, the “Month without counterfeiting” started in our country, which will continue until 15 March.
The purpose of the event is an effective fight against the sale of counterfeit products throughout the country. It is no secret that counterfeit products are found in the domestic market of our country.
What is counterfeit? Counterfeit products are goods produced and sold in violation of intellectual property rights.
Why is counterfeit dangerous for the consumer? Often in the domestic consumer market, products such as food products, household chemicals, cosmetics and medicines are most often imitation, the easiest to fake and copy. Unscrupulous manufacturers, creating an association with the original product (often copying popular brands), mislead buyers.
The difference between an original and a fake is not always so obvious. Consumers are inattentive and do not notice the difference, and often counterfeit products are attracted by a lower price. The production and sale of counterfeit goods not only violate the intellectual property rights of the original manufacturers, but also threaten the life and health of consumers.
