Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Department of State Financial Control of the Ministry of Finance is conducting in-house control over the targeted use of budget funds.

In particular, as a result of in-house control by the Department on the targeted use of budget funds in November 2020, it was found that the Department of Public Education of Andijan city made suspicious expenditures on salaries.

During the inspection of the Department of Public Education for the period from 1 November 2018 to 1 November 2020 on the basis of primary documents on these identified dubious expenses, 33.8 billion soums in cash were paid to employees. It was revealed that the excess was taken from the bank by the responsible officials of the department and misappropriated without making relevant entries into the centralized accounting office.

These funds made up 1.0 billion soums in 2018, 12.6 billion soums in 2019 and 20.2 billion soums in 2020.

The documents collected as a result of the inspection were sent to the Prosecutor General's Office for legal assessment.
