Mirziyoyev Confirms Participation in WUF13 in Baku

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has confirmed his participation in the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13), which will take place in Baku, according to Presidential Foreign Policy Adviser Abdulaziz Kamilov.

Kamilov said preparations for the visit are actively underway. He noted that during a recent meeting with a delegation, President Ilham Aliyev expressed gratitude for Mirziyoyev’s agreement to attend the forum.

Uzbekistan’s participation in WUF13 is expected to strengthen international cooperation in urban development, facilitate the exchange of experience and allow discussion of promising projects in sustainable urban planning.

The World Urban Forum is scheduled to take place from 17 to 22 May 2026.
