Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17 May 2022, the leadership of the Ministry of Preschool Education held a meeting with the mission of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and representatives of the Mercy Corps branch in Uzbekistan. 

The main topic of discussion was the jointly implemented project "Food for Education and Child Nutrition" in Uzbekistan.

The project stipulates the improvement of catering conditions for pupils of preschool educational institutions of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Surkhandarya region by repairing and equipping food units with kitchen equipment, repairing sewers, and providing access to clean drinking water.

This program is funded by the US Department of Agriculture.
