Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Legal Services Centers under the Ministry of Justice conducted a survey of the wages of 9,758 employees of public secondary schools in the country and revealed facts of underpayment of wages to school workers by 16 billion soums.
In accordance with the decrees of the President, starting from 1 October 2021, Legal Aid Centers have been established in all regions of the country in the system of the Ministry of Justice.
These schools have 9,787 staff positions with 9,937 staff positions (taking into account the coefficient of 0.5). Of these, 911 with higher education and 9026 without higher education.
By decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, the categories of workers with higher education are established in 7 categories, and the categories of workers without higher education are established in 6 categories.
However, the study showed that in most district and city departments of public education, low pay scales for school personnel were established.
In particular, 160 cases were assigned to the 2nd category, 1353 cases to the 3rd category, 48 cases to the 4th category, 4000 cases to the 5th category, 4160 cases to the 6th category, 7 th category - 216 cases.
In low-paid cases, the territorial bodies of justice applied 1,832 preventive measures, in which 6,038 employees were involved in the adjustment in the category.
In addition, a total of 16 billion soums were lost in violation of the law.
Currently, the territorial bodies of justice are filing lawsuits with the courts and are taking measures to compensate for low wages.
So far, as a result of the measures taken by the justice authorities, 3 billion soums have been paid and measures are being taken to recover the balance.
