Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Justice has developed a draft law on the fundamentals of state control. It is published for public discussion.

State control is exercised over compliance with the law and national security of the country, protection of the interests of life and health of citizens, their property, environmental safety, economic and social stability.

In addition, the regulatory authorities check the activities of government agencies, the use of budgetary funds.

The bill consists of 6 chapters and 63 articles. Basic principles of state control:

legality and validity;

impartiality and disinterestedness;

proportionality of interference in the activities of controlled persons;

prevention of abuse of power and rights;

observance of secrets protected by law;

openness and transparency of information on state supervision;

speed of implementation of state control;

protection of the rights and freedoms of controlled persons.

As a result of the adoption of the draft law, the systematization of the types of state control and the establishment of mechanisms and procedures for their implementation are expected. In addition, the document includes a chapter on the effectiveness of supervisory measures and the procedure for appealing them. This will allow society to evaluate the work of supervisory authorities.

Parliamentary, constitutional, prosecutorial, budgetary, financial, currency, customs, export, tax, environmental, sanitary, phytosanitary control and conformity assessment are carried out in Uzbekistan.
