Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Housing and Communal Services of Uzbekistan and the French company Suez International signed a memorandum on joint actions to introduce a smart metering system for the city of Tashkent.

In March 2020, Suez International, the khokimiyat of the city of Tashkent, TSST (formerly SUVSOZ) and the Ministry of Housing and Utilities of Uzbekistan entered into a joint management agreement in connection with the implementation of the Tashkent Water Sector Transformation Plan project.

The co-management agreement is to enhance the capabilities and productivity of the water and wastewater operator through a range of innovations, know-how transfer, sensors and control systems, analysis tools, digital transformation, technical assistance and staff training.

The signed memorandum establishes the guiding principles of cooperation between the parties in the implementation of an intelligent water metering system for the city of Tashkent.
