Ministry of Health establishes cooperation with the world famous medical association

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Uzbekistan, Ms. Aurelia Bouchez, held at the Ministry of Health, it was proposed to establish partnerships with the association of public medical institutions "AP-HP", which plays a special role in the management of the French health system.

Today, the exchange of a signed memorandum of understanding between this association and the ministry took place at the Ministry of Health. What opportunities will this event open for Uzbek medicine?

It is known that "AP-HP" is the largest system of hospitals not only in Europe but throughout the world. It works on the basis of innovative solutions in 52 areas of medicine. More than 90 thousand employees in 44 hospitals of the association provide services to more than 5.8 million patients a year. To date, AP-HP has entered into agreements and established cooperation with 68 countries around the world. Uzbekistan became the sixty-ninth country on this list.

It is noteworthy that until this day there was no agreement of this magnitude between the ministries of health of Uzbekistan and France. This memorandum is expected to create new opportunities in this area.

It is noted that on the basis of a memorandum of understanding, the practice of training and advanced training of medical workers of our country in France will be implemented. In turn, French doctors will come to our country, share their knowledge and experience.

They will provide direct support in strengthening and modernizing the material and technical base of our medical institutions. In the future, it is also planned to test the experience of managing one of the hospitals in Uzbekistan together with French specialists. The document also reflects the issues of expanding relations in a number of areas, such as medical insurance, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, hematology, oncology, ophthalmology.

Within the framework of cooperation, France’s best practices in improving emergency and emergency medical care, introducing a licensing and certification system for medical personnel, and improving the quality of medical education in our country will be studied and popularized.

In addition, a strong relationship will be established with AP-HP in such areas as the widespread application of management principles, the development of the pharmaceutical industry and attracting investment in this sector, and sanitary safety.
