Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As of 8 February 2020, the number of people who came for screening was 14,173. Of these, 6,697 volunteers received the first dose of the vaccine, 1209 people - the 2-dose of the ZF 2001 vaccine.

The Center for Advanced Technologies under the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Research Institute of Virology of the Ministry of Health are conducting Phase III clinical trials of the ZF2001 recombinant vaccine manufactured by the Chinese company Anhui Zhifei Loncom Biofharmaceutical.

The main goal of this clinical study is to evaluate the protective efficacy and safety of a recombinant vaccine (CHO cells) against the novel coronavirus in preventing COVID-19 of any severity in people aged 18 and over. 

The secondary objective is to evaluate the immunogenicity and resistance of a recombinant vaccine (CHO cells) against the novel coronavirus in people aged 18 and over.
