Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 2 February 2021, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting between the Press Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs A. Khodjimetov and Agnieszka Pikulicka-Wilczewska, previously accredited with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a correspondent for the Al-Jazeera TV channel.

During the meeting, additional circumstances were clarified related to her accreditation and the incident. Foreign journalist, earlier, accused one of the employees of the Ministry in harassment.

Apologies for the incident were expressed to the foreign journalist.

An employee of the Ministry, previously mentioned by a foreign correspondent, was dismissed from the system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The process of obtaining journalistic accreditation for A. Pikulicki-Vilchevski will end on February 3, 2021.
