Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to Uzhydromet, on 17-22 July this year, air temperatures are expected to rise to +47 degrees in some regions of the country due to an increase in the flow of hot air into the territory of Uzbekistan through Turkmenistan from regions of Iran.
It is known that as a result of a sharp increase in air temperature, the need for electricity also increases. As a result, the load on electrical networks and transformer substations may increase and, as a result, network failures.
To this end, the Ministry of Energy and all organizations of the Ministry’s system are taking measures to ensure a stable supply of energy resources to consumers on days of a sharp increase in air temperature.
In particular, standby power units are connected to work at power plants these days. In order to improve the quality of power supply, more than 2,000 kilometers of power lines and more than 330 transformer points have been updated since the beginning of this year.
In addition, more than 17,000 kilometers of low-voltage power transmission networks and about 6,000 transformer points, as well as more than 600 kilometers of 110-500 kV power transmission networks and 7 power transformers have been completely repaired.
All power plants have round-the-clock teams on duty. As a result, the stability of production capacities is ensured. Also, 227 emergency teams have been created to prevent and eliminate emergencies in electrical networks.
In order to prevent malfunctions that may occur due to overloading of electrical appliances as a result of abnormal heating of the air temperature, the Ministry of Energy asks consumers to save energy, as well as to use cooling appliances as rationally as possible, disconnect electrical devices from the network when it is not necessary.
With a proper understanding of this situation, as a result of our rational use of energy resources, we will prevent the failure of electrical equipment and contribute to the sustainable delivery of energy resources to all consumers.
