Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting between the Ministers of Energy of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan Alisher Sultanov and Bolat Akchulakov has recently taken place in Nur-Sultan.
In its course, Alisher Sultanov noted that cooperation between the two countries in the fuel and energy sector is constantly increasing. In particular, frequency control services, transit services, as well as export-import supplies of electricity are provided in the electric power industry within the framework of interaction in the Unified Regional Electric Grid.
The countries are constantly interacting in such areas as the export of natural gas to the southern regions of Kazakhstan, the export of Uzbek products based on deep gas processing, including polyethylene, polypropylene, technical oils.
Uztransgaz and ICA have concluded and are implementing a contract for the transportation of natural gas through the territory of Kazakhstan. Oil is imported from Kazakhstan to our country on a traditional basis.
During the meeting, the heads of the ministries of energy of the two countries discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation, outlined measures for the further development of cooperation, the press service of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan reported.
