Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 22 March, as part of the International Investment Forum in Tashkent, a delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Roman Shaikhutdinov visited the Ministry of Innovative Development. 

The delegation of Tatarstan at the talks at the Ministry of Innovative Development was attended by General Director of the SEZ "Innopolis" Renat Khalimov, Director of the technopark in the field of high technologies "IT Park" Alexander Borisov, Mayor of the city of Innopolis Ruslan Shagaleev, Rector of the University "Innopolis" Alexander Tormasov, Deputy General Director of the SEZ "Innopolis" Vadim Galeev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Republican Cadastral Center "Earth" Dina Gaizatullina and other officials.

Roman Shaikhutdinov was received by the Minister of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov. The parties discussed the issue of holding a competition of joint scientific projects. The competition provides for the joint filing of an application for design developments by Uzbek and Tatar scientists. Uzbekistan and Tatarstan will finance project shares on a country-by-country basis. They also exchanged views on the announcement of tenders for joint start-up projects of entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan and Tatarstan. It was noted that residents of the SEZ "Innopolis" and the technopark in the field of high technologies "IT-Park" can act as foreign partners.

In addition, the issue of internships for vice-rectors for scientific work and innovation of higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan and deputy directors for science of research institutions of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan at Kazan Federal University and Innopolis University was discussed in order to familiarize themselves with the practice of Tatarstan in organizing an innovation ecosystem and supporting innovation. The delegation of Tatarstan agreed to organize an internship and informed that it would develop a program and send it to the Uzbek side for consideration.

During the visit, the delegation of Tatarstan got acquainted with the exhibition of scientific and start-up developments in the building of the Ministry of Innovative Development.
