Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of Uzbekistan headed by Minister of Health Behzod Musayev visited Turkey from 2 to 4 March 2022.
During the visit, Behzod Musayev held talks with the Minister of Health of Turkey, Fahrettin Koca. The parties discussed the development of bilateral relations in such areas as digital medicine, pharmaceuticals, emergency medical care, etc.
The sides exchanged views on attracting Turkish specialists to Uzbekistan to train medical personnel. The issues of organizing internships for Uzbek doctors in medical educational institutions in Istanbul and Ankara were also discussed.
The ministers agreed to organize an exchange of experience in such areas as medical insurance, digitalization of medicine, accounting for medicines and equipment.
Musayev also met with the President of the Turkish Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) Serkan Kayalar. The Turkish side allocated grants to organize advanced training of Uzbek doctors in Turkey.
An agreement was reached with the Association of Turkish Doctors to organize a joint platform for online consultations.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Security of Turkey expressed its readiness to provide its experience in organizing a health insurance system in Uzbekistan.
The delegation of Uzbekistan also held meetings at the Agency for Pharmaceuticals and Medical Equipment (TİTCK), the Emergency Medical Center (SAKOM), as well as the Ankara Şehir Hastanesi, Basaksehir Cam ve Sakura Sehir Hastanesi, LIV Hospital and Medipol clinics, by Rönesans Holding.
During the meetings, issues on the organization of clinics in Uzbekistan, advanced training of Uzbek doctors, etc. were discussed.
During the visit, the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan and Turkey agreed to develop a roadmap for cooperation for 2022-2023.
