Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Minister of Health of Uzbekistan, Amrillo Inoyatov, declared 2023 as the year of fighting corruption in the healthcare system. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health.
The head of the Ministry of Health made this statement at a meeting of the collegium of the ministry.
According to him, there are a number of areas that are most prone to corruption, and it is with them that we need to start.
“Everyone knows that this is a job placement, especially for nurses, thanksgiving money (suyunchi) in maternity hospitals, “rates” for caesarean sections, issuing warrants for an acquaintance,” the minister said.
“Unfortunately, some dishonest individuals who do this cast a shadow on the entire system,” the minister added.
He stated that a special helpline of the ministry would be organized to fight corruption in the system. The minister noted that he would add his personal number as a helpline.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Health declared 2020 as the year of the fight against corruption.
