Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Milliy TV will reduce the broadcast of foreign TV series. This was announced by the founder of the TV channel and the head of the Board of Trustees of the Public Fund for Support and Development of National Mass Media Komil Allamjonov.
“Yesterday there was a meeting with the team of the Milliy TV channel, at which tasks were defined to improve the quality of broadcasting, to bring the TV channel’s rating to a new level through the implementation of new interesting projects,” he said.
“Today, unfortunately, many TV channels show mainly foreign TV series, while national TV series are practically absent. I believe that this is an important issue that needs to be paid attention to today and solved today,” Allamjonov stressed.
“The reason is that TV shows are powerful tools that have a direct impact on the viewer’s mind. If we do not normalize this flow, then we can easily lose our ideological sovereignty,” he said.
“Therefore, it was decided in the near future to reduce as much as possible the broadcast of foreign serials on the Milliy TV channel and shoot more of our own, national serials," added Komil Allamjonov.
