Milliy Tiklanish holds roundtable on independence of Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 September, the Central Council of Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Milliy Tiklanish” and its faction at the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan organized a roundtable “Independence - meaning and content of our life, the essence of national interests and security of a prosperous life”, dedicated to study of the nature and significance of the address of the President Islam Karimov at the festive ceremony celebrating the 24th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence.

Representatives of Milliy Tiklanish, its faction at the Legislative Chamber, members of party groups in local Councils of People’s Deputies, experts and others attended the event.

During the event, the participants considered the speech of the President Islam Karimov at the solemn celebrations of the 24th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s Independence.

It was noted that deepening reforms, modernizing and updating economy and its industries, introducing ICT and increasing competitiveness of Uzbekistan were determined as the key tasks in the speech of Islam Karimov.

The participants noted that all conditions were created to speed up economic growth and develop economy. It was said that the Uzbek people should preserve the main wealth – peace and tranquility.

Uzbekistan is achieving high economic growth in recent years, which is not less than 8%, it was said. This helps to improve well-being of population. Uzbekistan also develops schools, healthcare institutions, recreation zones and parks. Special attention is paid to development of family businesses.

The participants also discussed contribution of Milliy Tiklanish to modernization and development of Uzbekistan, preservation of its national values and traditions. They also outlined the tasks of the party and its members for future.
