Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures to increase the efficiency of work on the study of military history” was adopted.

Under the founding of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the State Security Service, the National Guard, the Ministry of Culture, the Vatanparvar organization, the following are created:

Military-Historical Society "Ajdodlar Izidan" ("In the footsteps of the ancestors") in the form of a non-governmental non-profit organization;

Popular science magazine "Ajdodlar Izidan" ("In the footsteps of the ancestors").

The main tasks of the "Ajdodlar Izidan" society:

collection of historical documents and descriptions of events of military-historical significance that took place on the territory of Uzbekistan in the past, the Middle Ages and modern history, as well as beyond its borders;

study of the activities of military leaders, leaders of tribes and peoples who heroically fought against the invaders for the freedom and independence of the nation;

carrying out research and survey work in museums, libraries and archives of Uzbekistan and foreign countries;

systematization of data collected with the involvement of famous scientists, historians, archaeologists, specialists;

mapping of military-historical events in the history of Uzbekistan, etc.

The Society is led by a Supervisory Board chaired by the Minister of Defense, which operates on a voluntary basis. Meetings of the Supervisory Board are held at least twice a year.

For the effective organization of the society, the Development Fund of the Military-Historical Society "Ajdodlar Izidan" is being created. His sources of funding:

funds in the equivalent of 1500 times the base calculated amount are contributed by the founders of the company before 1 February of each year; 

funds of the Fund for the Development of Military-Administrative Sectors of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and Tashkent city;

sponsorship donations from legal entities and individuals, including non-residents of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

other sources not prohibited by law.

The document was published in the state language in the National Legislation Database and entered into force on 18 November 2021.
