Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 16 March, the Tashkent city administration hosted a meeting with a delegation of the Moscow city government led by the Moscow Government Minister, Head of the Moscow City Economic Policy and Development Department Sergei Purtov. The host side was attended by the first deputy khokim of the city of Tashkent for financial and economic issues and poverty reduction Hotambek Shakirov and employees of the khokimiyat departments.
The main topic of the conversation was the recent opening of the representative office of the Multifunctional Migration Center of Moscow in Tashkent. This is the first such center in the region. The work of the migration center should make all processes transparent and protect labor migrants from possible problems associated, for example, with unscrupulous employers. All applications from Moscow employers are checked according to many criteria, for example, if it is possible to provide housing and transport, according to the level of wages, etc.
The transfer of many procedures from Moscow to Tashkent has many advantages, for example, it is more convenient to check migrants at the base of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, teach the Russian language and the chosen profession “at home”. And this is just the beginning. One of the tasks of an open representative office is to form a normal model and debug procedures, optimize the processes of obtaining a work permit.
The Moscow side emphasized that specialists of various professions are being recruited, managers, managers, production organizers and others are in demand. It was also noted that after the end of the pandemic, the job exchange will be fully operational, which will make it easier for labor migrants to find work.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to support the ongoing process of optimizing labor migration issues and mutual efforts to promptly resolve emerging issues.
