Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In connection with the dissemination in some media and social networks of information that citizens of Uzbekistan from among students studying at Ukrainian universities are forced to stay in basements, and they run out of essential products, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan made statement on the following.
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Ukraine, under tense conditions, continues to work hard to organize the evacuation of our fellow citizens from this country.
Representatives of the diplomatic mission are in constant contact with our fellow citizens and promptly resolve emerging issues. The responsible officer of the Embassy of Uzbekistan is in Kharkov and is in direct contact with students from Uzbekistan and solves all their questions
With the help of the Embassy and representatives of our diaspora in Ukraine, students from Uzbekistan, located in the cities of Kharkiv and Zaporozhye are provided with three meals a day. At the same time, the leadership of the Zaporozhye National University expressed its readiness to provide all possible assistance to students.
With the assistance of the Diaspora, the issues of our students are being resolved in Kherson, Khmelnitsky, Dneper and Odessa.
Currently, road and rail communication between the cities of Ukraine is practically paralyzed. Under these conditions, the organization of the safe transportation of compatriots from the eastern and central regions of Ukraine to the border city of Lvov with Poland is temporarily not possible.
At the same time, despite significant risks, a separate group of students is demanding their immediate evacuation.
In this regard, we strongly recommend that our fellow citizens in Ukraine do not panic, do not spread false information and follow the general instructions of the Embassy on security.
At the same time, the Embassy is taking all necessary measures for the safe evacuation of citizens of Uzbekistan from Ukraine in the very near future.
