Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbek law enforcement officials have detained two men who were trying to send people to the United States and Turkey.

In the course of an operational operation carried out by employees of the Jizzakh regional department of the State Security Service and the territorial department of criminal investigation, a resident of Sharaf-Rashidov district, born in 1990, was detained.

He promised to help the citizen with dispatch and employment in the US for US$35,000. He was detained upon receiving US$20,000 of the required amount.

A resident of Zaamin district, born in 1996, was also detained at the Manas 14 traffic police post. The man planned to take the 25-year-old girl to Turkey for prostitution.

During the inspection, air tickets in the direction "Tashkent - Istanbul" and certificates of a PCR test were found on him. 

According to these facts, criminal cases were initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code. Investigations are underway.
