Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4 June, in Dushanbe, as part of the stay of the Uzbek delegation of analytical centers at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, a ceremony of signing a cooperation agreement between the International Institute of Central Asia (MICA) and the Center for Advanced Studies and Retraining of Foreign Service Workers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan was held.
The document on the part of the MICA was signed by the director Anvar Nasirov, on the part of the Center - by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sodik Imomi.
As part of the event, representatives of the Uzbek delegation delivered lectures for young diplomats of the Central Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, where the main topic was the current state of Uzbek-Tajik cooperation.
It was especially emphasized that thanks to the political will and joint efforts of the Leaders of the two countries, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Emomali Rahmon, relations of friendship and good-neighborliness have today been brought to a completely new level of strategic partnership, which are filled with concrete practical content in all areas.
Representatives of MICA, ISMI, CERR spoke in detail about promising areas of cooperation between the two countries and projects aimed at strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
An open exchange of views took place on mutually beneficial directions for deepening cooperation. Detailed answers were given to numerous questions from the audience.
A meeting in such a format was held for the first time in the history of Uzbek-Tajik relations.
The signed Agreement will make it possible in the future to give such forms of interaction a regular character.
