Melon Fashion Group is expanding its presence in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- One of the largest clothing retailers in Russia, Melon Fashion Group is expanding its presence in the textile market of Uzbekistan.

The company owns such popular brands as Zarina, BeFree, Love Republic and Sela, well-known to the Uzbek buyer, today it has 845 stores in 205 cities of Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine, as well as its own “market place”, which occupies the 3rd place in Russian market. In 2020, the company was among the 500 largest enterprises in Russia in terms of revenue and was included in the RBC-500 rating.

In the issue of the visit of the delegation of the Association “Uztekstilprom” to St. Petersburg, headed by the Chairman of the Association I. Khaydarov at the beginning of this year, between the Association and Melon Fashion Group, a Cooperation Agreement was signed with the aim of building up the export of domestic products with high added value, increasing the orders volume for the Uzbek garment enterprises, and exchanging experience in the fashion industry.

As part of the reached arrangements, a delegation of Melon Fashion Group, headed by production director A. Zhelenkova visited the Republic of Uzbekistan on January 25-27, during which the company’s representatives made visits to a number of domestic manufacturing enterprises, where they could get acquainted in detail with the production process, technical equipment enterprises, product range and quality, also hold relevant negotiations.

The company’s management expressed its firm intention to increase cooperation with the textile industry of Uzbekistan.

It is important to note that the company expressed its readiness to support the project to position Tashkent as a regional fashion capital Fashion Incubator Tashkent (FIT) by providing mentors.
