Meetings of CIS Security and Intelligence Chiefs to Be Held in Samarkand
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Samarkand will host the 57th Meeting of the Council of Heads of Security and Special Services of the CIS and the 21st Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Security and Intelligence Agencies of the CIS countries on 16–17 October 2025.
The events will bring together the heads of security and intelligence services from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan, along with representatives of the CIS Executive Committee and the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center.
The main goal of the meetings is to strengthen cooperation in the field of security, including combating international terrorism and extremism, transnational crime, cyber and information security threats, and the illegal trafficking of narcotics and psychotropic substances.
During the sessions, participants will discuss current security challenges and coordination of joint actions among member states. Following the meetings, delegation heads will define specific tasks and directions for further cooperation aimed at ensuring regional and global security.
