Meeting with the Special Adviser to the Prime Minister of Japan takes place

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to discuss the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Tokyo held a meeting with the Special Adviser to the Prime Minister of Japan on foreign policy Masashi Adachi. The embassy of Uzbekistan in Tokyo reports.

During the meeting, the sides expressed mutual interest in further expanding the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The parties expressed satisfaction with the current state of bilateral cooperation, which was given a powerful impetus by the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Japan in December 2019.

An agreement was reached on the joint study of all bilateral events aimed at strengthening the dynamics of relations between the two countries, including the organization of the next meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Central Asia + Japan Dialogue in 2021 in Tokyo, as well as the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2022 year.

The meeting also discussed issues of mutual support of candidates and initiatives of Uzbekistan and Japan in international organizations, including the UN.
