Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 13 April 2022, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the participation of deputy ministers, representatives of the state institution "Center for Digitalization of the Agro-Industrial Complex" and the World Bank on the implementation of the project "Modernization of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan".
This project is being implemented with the participation of the World Bank. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Kakhramon Yuldashev, Director of the Center for Digitalization of the Agro-Industrial Complex Saidagzam Alimov, Chief Economist of the World Bank Sergey Zorya, expert Sanzhar Babayev, specialists from the BePro Dasturchilar Markazi LLC architectural company, ministry officials, representatives of research institutes.
To date, the company, in cooperation with the Center for Digitalization of the Agro-Industrial Complex, within the framework of the project "Creating a single integrated platform for digital agriculture", has studied digital infrastructure, information systems and business processes
35 ministries and departments of the agro-industrial complex and 14 organizations of the system.
The concept of the digitalization system of agriculture provides for such priority deposits as identification of crops in the field of land management, crop forecasting, water resources management and irrigation efficiency determination, management of financial resources of the agro-industrial complex.
Under the World Bank’s Agricultural Modernization Project, an initial agreement was reached to allocate a total of US$20 million to develop a single integrated Digital Agriculture platform in line with global best practices, including US$8.2 million for land management. resources, US$6.8 million for maintenance, equipment and infrastructure, and US$5 million for a water management system.
It should be noted that the World Bank noted the high level of work carried out and materials provided by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the state institution "Center for Digitalization of the Agro-Industrial Complex" and the architectural company.
