Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 October 2021, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Ilhom Norkulov and Deputy Minister of Finance Odilbek Isakov held a video conference meeting with a group of experts led by Public financial management specialist of the French Development Agency Côme Dechery.

The meeting was also attended by Climate Change Specialist of the French Development Agency Serge Perrin, Director of the Tashkent Office of the AFD Vincent Caupin, Project officer of the Office Sardor Nazarov, Director of the Institute for Forecasting and Macroeconomic Research Umid Obidkhojayev and officials of the Ministry.

During the meeting, the sides discussed jointly formed projects, in particular, the transition to a green economy, parts of the program, including green budget and tax policy, sustainable public procurement, management of state enterprises, state budget methodology, project preparation.

The parties also exchanged views on international commitment for climate action and the green economy, green policy coordination and management, strategic environmental analysis, green debt, pollution charge reforms within the project, as well as green bonds and SDG bonds. 

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue and expand cooperation in the formation and implementation of the above projects.
